Julius Nyerere International Airport is the international airport of Dar es Salaam, the largest city in Tanzania. It is located about 12 kilometres southwest of the city centre. Renamed in 2006, Julius Nyerere International honors Tanzania’s first president. It was previously named DAR es Salaam International after its home city.
