New Chitose is an airport located 2.7 NM (5.0 km; 3.1 mi) south southeast of Chitose and Tomakomai, Hokkaidō, Japan. It is the largest airport in Hokkaidō. In 1991, New Chitose Airport replaced the original Chitose Airport. It serves the Sapporo area and at first had the three-letter code of SPK. Its current code comes from its name and the nearby city of ChiToSe.
